Pallet Rack Systems in Ringgold, GA
Ringgold has two very different kinds of rack customers. On one side, Class A buildings at Cloud Springs I-75 Park with 30 to 45 ft clear. On the other, small flex tenants working with 18 to 20 ft.
We plan pallet rack systems for both, and the steel, aisles and trucks involved have almost nothing in common.
Tall Rack and VNA at Cloud Springs I-75 Park
Cloud Springs I-75 Park, at I-75 and Cloud Springs Road, has room for about 1.3 million sq ft. Clear heights run 30 to 45 ft, with 60-ft speed bays at the docks.
At 40 ft and above, very-narrow-aisle rack served by turret or order-picker trucks is worth modeling. Aisles shrink to roughly the truck width plus clearance, and the building holds far more positions.
VNA is not right for everyone. It ties you to one truck type and calls for guidance in the aisle. We usually draw a VNA plan beside a standard reach-truck selective rack plan so you can compare.

Using the Speed Bays
Those 60-ft speed bays exist for staging. Keep them open. We start rack rows behind the staging zone so loads can be built and checked before they hit a trailer.
Reach Trucks Versus Turret Trucks
A reach truck needs roughly a 9 to 10 ft aisle and lifts high enough for many 30 to 36 ft buildings. Turret trucks run aisles barely wider than the load and lift much higher.
Which fits depends on how many positions you need, how often you pick and whether the fleet is already bought. We put both options on paper with position counts so the choice is clear.
Tall rack also changes how loads are placed. Operators working at 40 ft need camera or height-select help, which belongs in the truck decision.
Starter Rack for Small Flex Tenants
Smaller buildings such as those in Marigold Business Park have about 18 to 20 ft clear. Many of these tenants start with a few rows and grow.
We lay out a right-sized first run that leaves room for more rows later. Matching frames and beams means the next phase bolts right on.
- Two or three beam levels in most 18-20 ft units
- Shelving or decking for small parts and cartons
- Plan the next rows on the first drawing
Ringgold's I-75 Exits and Parks
Catoosa County has four I-75 exits. Exit 353 sits at the Georgia-Tennessee line, where the Interstate Commerce Center is located. Rollins Industrial Park is on Highway 151, within about a mile of Exit 348.
If you are moving from a smaller building into one of the new parks, our warehouse relocation team can move existing rack and add tall bays where the height allows.
Pulling a Ringgold Plan Together
For Cloud Springs buildings, send the shell drawings, dock layout and your truck plans. For flex units, a tape-measure sketch and photos are enough.
Either way, the CAD drawing shows position counts and aisle widths so you can see exactly what the space will hold before ordering steel.
