Pallet Racks and Shelving in Soddy-Daisy, TN
Soddy-Daisy's industrial base is small manufacturers and contractors along US-27 and Dayton Pike. Most buildings are modest in size and height.
In 20 ft clear space, the right mix of rack and shelving matters more than any single product.
Rack for 20 ft Clear Shops
Existing M-1 manufacturing buildings, such as one on Gulf View Dr, have about 20 ft clear. That usually supports three pallet levels for standard loads.
Selective pallet rack keeps every pallet in reach. Wide-span shelving takes cartons, tools and small parts with tighter level spacing.
- Three pallet levels for most loads
- Shelving where pallets do not fit
- Shop space kept clear of rack rows

Shop Storage That Stays Out of the Way
Small manufacturers often store raw stock, finished goods and tooling in one room. We split the floor into zones so each has a home.
Raw stock sits closest to the machines. Finished goods go near the door. Tooling and spares go on shelving along a wall.
Rack rows run parallel to forklift paths so trucks never have to back down a dead end.
Small shops also share space with offices and parking for service trucks, so we keep rack runs clear of doors and walk paths.
Cantilever for Building Materials
Contractors store lumber, pipe, conduit and sheet goods. Cantilever rack holds them off the floor with an open front for easy loading.
Outdoor cantilever with a galvanized finish works for yard storage.
Soddy-Daisy Sites and Access
Hamilton County and the city developed the 65-acre Soddy Daisy Industrial Park, which is now fully sold. Industrial sites run along US-27 and Dayton Pike, about 23 miles from I-24, and Highway 58 and SR-111 connect to I-75.
When a growing shop moves to a larger building, our warehouse relocation crew moves the rack.
Starting Small and Adding Later
Many local companies begin with a few rows. We draw the whole building, install the first phase and leave space for the next.
Getting a Soddy-Daisy Layout
A sketch with building size, clear height, doors and columns is plenty. Add pallet sizes, material lengths and what you store on shelves.
We draw rack, shelving and cantilever together and quote each item. Install crews work around your shop hours.
Outdoor yards can be planned on the same drawing.
Frames are anchored to the floor and capacity-labeled at the end.
Phase two is marked on the first drawing.
