It is the densest common pallet storage, with almost no aisles. In Chattanooga, it shows up most in grocery distribution and cold storage, where big runs of a few SKUs sit in expensive refrigerated space. (423) 810-5886: 4238105886 ## How Drive-In Storage Works Pallets rest on rails on each side of the lane. Trucks enter the lane to place and retrieve loads. 1 ### Lane depth Set by how many pallets of one SKU you hold at a time. 2 ### Truck fit Lane width and rail height are sized to your truck and pallet. 3 ### LIFO per lane Drive-in empties a lane before refilling it. For lane-by-lane FIFO, see pallet flow rack (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/products/pallet-flow-rack). Drive-in packs pallets tight and shrinks the cube you pay to keep cold. Food producers in Collegedale (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/collegedale) and LaFayette (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/lafayette) build large batches that ship together, exactly what drive-in lanes handle. Container-staged imports through the Appalachian Regional Port near Chatsworth (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/chatsworth) arrive the same way: many pallets of few SKUs. ## Heavy and Bulky Goods Heavy goods common here, such as carpet, steel and auto components, push demand for drive-in and high-capacity rack. Drive-in also handles bulky, low-density loads from furniture and tire plants in Dayton (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/dayton). If drive-in is part of a move to a new building, our warehouse relocation service (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/warehouse-relocation) can phase the work. ## Get a Drive-In Rack Quote Send the basics and we will come back with a CAD layout and itemized quote.
