Indoor or outdoor. Nothing stands in front of the load, so lumber, pipe, bar and sheet goods can be set and pulled from the side. Building materials, steel and metals cluster around Chattanooga's riverport and rail-served sites, and that is where most of our cantilever work goes. (423) 810-5886: 4238105886 ## Sizing Cantilever Arms and Columns The load decides everything: length, weight per arm and how it is handled. 1 ### Arm spacing Set from the shortest piece, so every piece rests on at least two arms. 2 ### Arm capacity Sized to the heaviest bundle per arm, with capacity posted on the run. 3 ### Aisle and truck Side-loaders, forklifts and booms each need different aisle widths. Steel, pipe and building materials arriving there need cantilever storage nearby. Contractor yards in Hixson (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/hixson) and Soddy-Daisy (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/soddy-daisy) use outdoor cantilever with a galvanized finish. Rail and barge shippers in Jasper (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/jasper) store bar and pipe on heavy-capacity runs. Spring storm season is a fact of life here. Outdoor runs are anchored to the floor and sized for the load, and many yards add a roof to the uprights. ## Rolls and Long Goods for Flooring Carpet and textile rolls from Dalton (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/dalton) and Calhoun (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/service-area/calhoun) also suit cantilever or roll rack. The arms support the roll along its length so the core does not sag. For palletized material in the same building, pair cantilever with selective pallet rack (https://chattanoogapalletrack.com/products/pallet-rack). Moving a yard?
